Bridge Of Allan Sports Club Squash
Bridge of Allan caters for all standards of squash players from novice to internationalist, ladies and gents, and also has a healthy junior section. The squash section is arguably the most active section of the club and our tournaments are now so popular they are often over subscribed.Squash Leagues
The club operates a well-organised Mini-league system, to read more about our leagues, see our new league page. Note the updated league fixtures have been added to the league page.
Squash Tournaments
During the squash season the club organises a number of competitions which are always popular with squash members, for example:
- Bob Paterson Quaich - Wooden Racket Tournament.
- Powel Trophy - Handicap Tournament.
- Hardie Handicap - Squash,Tennis, Racketball Quiz.
- Time Squash - Four Men team event.
- D.M. Hall - Non Team Standard Tournament.
In addition, each year the Club holds an open Vets (Veterans) Tournament attracting players from all over the U.K. The tournament is divided into age group competitions with prize money for the winners.The Ladies and Gents Championships attracts the Club’s top players resulting in some excellent matches for the spectator.
The tournament features seven different age group categories ranging from the main event to a Venerable class.
Junior Squash
The Club caters for Juniors across all age-groups, regardless of ability, with coaching from qualified coaches available for beginners, improvers and an elite squad. Junior matches are played against other clubs in the Central area throughout the season and these provide opportunities for development. The club has had juniors playing for Scotland in the past and currently has one player representing Scotland as a junior internationalist.
Team Squash
The Club has a strong nucleus of team players and have the six teams competing on a weekly basis:
- National League team. (Team Squash section)
- 2 Gents teams in division 1 of the Crieff & District Leagues.
- 1 Ladies team in the Crieff & District Ladies League.
- 1 Gents team in the Central League.
