Juniors

Junior members are allowed to use most facilities although there are some restrictions on the times of use and in some instances use must be under supervision of a senior member, e.g. Sauna.

The Fitness Room, however, may only be used by Juniors aged 16 or over and juniors are not permitted to use the sunbed without parental consent. Concessionary arrangements for juniors allow the booking of one squash court per day before 6pm at a concessionary rate. Juniors are advised to consult the Rules containing detailed guidance on the use that they make of facilities.

Bridge Of Allan Sports Club Constitution

The club operates as a private members club with a Constitution setting out the aims and objectives of the Club and the general manner in which it is managed. Copies of the Constitution are posted on the Club Notice Board for members' attention. The overall management of the Club is the responsibility of a Management Committee of ten members who are supported by a number of Sub-Committees having responsibility for tennis, squash, social and other activities. Edith Snaddon (Manager) is employed full time to deal with the day to day management combined with a number of part time staff. There is always a member of staff on duty during all hours the Club facilities are open for use.

CLUB RULES

The rule governing the use of the various facilities are posted on the Club Notice Boards. These Rule cover such things as the hours of use, booking arrangements, fees and charges, junior concessions, introduction of guests, and so on. Although certain of these matters are referred to in this information sheet, new members should make a particular point of becoming familiar with the Rules.

BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS

The use of the all-weather tennis courts, snooker tables and the sunbed are all controlled through booking sheets which are posted on the Club Notice Board. Booking sheets for squash courts are put up on different days of the week and you should refer to the Notice Board for details. Telephone bookings may be made at any time by telephoning (01786) 834397. This number should also be used when cancelling bookings. The blaes tennis courts cannot be booked other than for team matches

CLUB ACTIVITIES

The club is well organised in terms of offering scope to participate in both tennis and squash at all standards of play and there are various internal club leagues and other competitions. A number of ladies, gents and junior teams compete in various local and national leagues. Squash and tennis coaching is organised on a regular basis for senior and junior members. Regular attention should be paid to the various notice boards for details of club activities.
For those who enjoy more relaxing entertainment, there is usually a fairly active calendar of social events and members are encouraged to attend and to bring along guests.
If you need any advice on club activities do not hesitate to contact the conveners:
